Very elegant and slender late 18th Century mahogany Stick Barometer; the large, overhanging broken arch pediment, supported on side-brackets, over finely engraved register plate with manual vernier adjustment; the trunk, veneered in Cuban mahogany, ebony strung and with exposed barometer tube terminating in turned hemispherical cistern cover.

The second generation of a noted family of optician/instrument makers who operated from premises on Tower Hill, London from 1752-91.
