Outstanding 18th Century inlaid mahogany Wheel Barometer; the elegantly proportioned case with round top, typical of the early examples, veneered in well-patinated Cuban mahogany, cross-grained, chequer strung, inlaid with unusual and well executed oval and round stylised floral marquetry paterae and inset with very finely engraved silvered brass Fahrenheit thermometer and 8-inch diameter barometer dial, behind fine, milled-edge bezel, and profusely decorated with prominent starburst and floral designs.

A leading Italian immigrant barometer-maker, who settled in Holborn around 1780. His business output, although limited in volume, was of consistently high quality.
