A George III period mahogany veneered sofa table, the beautifully figured top with two D ended flaps inlaid with satinwood crossbanding bordered with rosewood, holly & ebony stringing with below to one side two working drawers and one dummy and to the other two dummy drawers and one working with satinwood overpanels to the frame either side, the whole supported on most unusual double turned column support on hooped reeded swept legs with original brass castors and all joined by a turned support. c1790. Handles replaced
