A fantastic George II Period Mahogany Architect’s Table, the adjustable rectangular top with re-entrant corners and a spring loaded book ledge flanked by articulated brass candle stands, the drawer front with an elaborate locking plate and opening to reveal a leather lined writing slide which retracts to reveal further secret compartments and swing out pen and ink trays, the drawer supported on split front legs with barrel casters, the square legs with turned inner Doric columns.
